I am so lucky to be a musician, and I’m especially lucky to travel the country and world to share my music. Growing up in a small town on the edge of Rochester, I've always dreamt big. I wanted to get out, see the world, and do everything I possibly could. Slow Down is about not missing a single moment.

LYRIC ANALYSIS:

I can’t stay in this town. - The small town I grew up in was not enough for me,
I can’t slow myself down. - and I couldn't be forced to live at a small town pace, when my heart and mind were going at rockstar speed.
I won’t revolve around you.  
I’d rather live, and you’d rather drown. - No one will hold me back.

You lose the chance of a lifetime. - One of my favorite things to do is rhyme mid-phrase... Hearts MOVE, you LOSE.

You think this life will last.  - Can't BLINK, you THINK. It adds so much to the lyrics.

BRIDGE - When I wrote this, I imagined using a loop pedal and layering the I's. I wanted a huge, dramatic build up into a powerful chorus to show that I will NOT stop. Since I kept this CD at the very basics, there's just one vocal track at a time, but I hope you get the idea.
